Minimum wage photo project

Local photographer Jessica Davis has recently decided to create a photo project about the minimum wage. She is looking for individuals willing to be photographed for the exhibit, which will premiere sometime in April at the Green Bean. Likely volunteers might include people who work for less than $9/hour, employers of low wage workers and anyone else who would be impacted by a hike in the minimum wage. Interested people should contact Jessica by email at jessicaworks@gmail.com.

(If you would like to see some of Jessica's work other than the photo here, check out her photoblog.)

I appreciate your crusade. I wish that you or others invested the same effort to educate our youth that the majority of skilled workers that make 40-70k/year are about to retire.

Yet most of our kids have no interest in developing the skill sets that our economy will desperately need.
