Support for local minimum wage efforts
My friend Catherine Admay pointed me to the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law, which, among other things, provides support and resources to local efforts to raise the minimum wage. Check out their website for a wealth of information I'll be wading through in the next few days.

From the Brennan Center for Justice website:
------
Since 1968, the real value of the federal minimum wage has fallen by close to 45%. At $5.15 per hour, the current federal minimum is so low that it cannot sustain working families.

Some people just don't let facts get in the way of what they believe, right?
Or maybe a fact can be dismissed because Brennan was such a flaming liberal? :-)
Thanks for the links, Jill.
Dismissing facts from liberal sources? Please....don't do that people. Why, just today the results of a survey was released confirming other surveys that indicate that The Daily Show (liberal program) viewers are among the best informed while Fox fans (Mussolinians) are the least. While this doesn't mean that liberals are smarter, it does mean that they are probably less likely to be dumb-assed. Think about it people. Are YOU dumb-assed? I hope not 'cause dumb-asses make dirty underwear. Americans, let's fight dumb-ass-ness and be fair in how we balance our philosophies. $9.36/hr.
